Pollinator Week is a weeklong series of events designed to celebrate and educate our community about the importance of pollinators—like bees, butterflies, birds, bats, and beetles—while promoting sustainability, food sovereignty, and joyful community connection. From hands-on workshops to pop-up tastings, film screenings, prayer gatherings, and our big Pollinator Palooza Festival, there's something for everyone!
What is Pollinator Week?
Events take place across Savannah and surrounding areas—including parks, gardens, community spaces, restaurants, museums, and libraries. Our signature festival, Pollinator Palooza, is at Daffin Park on Saturday, June 21 from 11 AM to 4 PM. A full event schedule is posted on our website and social media.
📍 Where does it all take place?
Most events are free and open to the public— BUT ticket are needed. Some events have limited space, such as workshops, restaurant tastings, or evening sessions. We strongly encourage you to register in advance so we can plan accordingly and make sure there are enough goodies, materials, and seats for everyone. If you didn’t register—come anyway! We'll help you to register at the events. We’ll do our best to welcome you. A full event schedule is posted on our website and social media.
🎟 Do I need a ticket to attend?
Yes! Several of our restaurant partners are offering pollinator-inspired dishes and cocktails all week long. Some locations will have complimentary samples, and others will offer special menu features that celebrate the flavors and ingredients pollinators make possible.
🍹 Will there be food or drinks throughout the week?
Pollinator Week is a rain-or-shine celebration! In the case of severe weather, we’ll move certain events indoors or provide updates on our social media channels and website.
🌧 What if it rains?
Absolutely! We encourage you to attend as many as you’d like. Each day offers something different—from learning moments to tasting experiences to wellness activities. It’s a whole week to explore, engage, and grow.

Bee City Savannah is Savannah’s official designation as a Bee City USA affiliate, part of a national movement to protect pollinators through habitat creation, pesticide reduction, and public education. The designation was made possible through the passionate, grassroots efforts of Sade Shofidiya, founder of BEEnevolent and long-time pollinator advocate. After nearly two years of dedicated organizing, Savannah officially became a Bee City USA in January 2025. Bee City Savannah is guided by the Savannah Pollinator Preservation Committee—a community-led coalition of residents, scientists, educators, city leaders, and organizations committed to restoring and protecting local pollinator populations. Through initiatives like Pollinator Week, educational programs, public gardens, and policy work, Bee City Savannah is building a more vibrant, sustainable city—one pollinator at a time. 🐝 A full event schedule is posted on our website and social media.
