About the Role
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting with the care and maintenance of honeybee colonies
Helping with the harvesting and processing of honey and other hive products
Conducting routine inspections of hives and identifying potential issues or problems
Participating in hive management practices such as queen rearing, swarm control, and hive splitting
Cleaning and organizing apiary equipment and tools
Assisting with the installation and removal of hives
Recording and organizing data related to hive health, productivity, and other metrics
Participating in outreach and educational activities related to beekeeping and apiary operations
Performing other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Passion for beekeeping and a desire to learn about apiary operations.
Ability to work in outdoor settings and lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Flexibility to work weekends and early mornings.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
